About Us

Our History

Established in 2004, Mamma Susanna’s has earned its reputation as the “go-to” spot for authentic Italian cuisine, charmingly described as a “little hole in the wall.” Owner Michelle Gully and her staff pour their hearts into every dish, using treasured old-world recipes that evoke the warmth of Grandma’s Sunday dinners.

Meet the Owner

(Michelle Gully)

Under Michelle Gully’s ownership and with the help of her husband Bob and now adult children, Mamma Susanna’s has flourished into a beloved community staple, where the warmth of family extends beyond the kitchen.  Although the Gully children have moved on with their respective careers, they were an important part of the restaurant’s success.

Repeat customers will tell you, from the moment you step inside, you can feel the inviting atmosphere that reflects the Gully family’s passion for food and hospitality.  Since acquiring the restaurant in January 2015, Michelle has not only revitalized the menu with fresh, innovative recipes but has also maintained the heart and soul that made Mamma Susanna’s a cherished spot in the first place.

The menu features a delightful blend of classic Italian dishes, reimagined with a personal touch, and exciting specials that pay homage to family traditions.  Each meal is crafted with love and attention to detail, ensuring that every bite evokes the comforting essence of home-cooked Italian meals.  Whether you are celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a cozy meal, Mamma Susanna’s offers a slice of Italy where every guest is treated like family.  Come experience the love behind the food and the memorable dining experience that has made Mamma Susanna’s a true gem in the community!

"Upgraded salad is worth it! Build your own pasta offers very flavorful sauces. Did not miss the meat when I ordered cheese tortellini Sorrento ( creamy pesto)! Staff is very helpful."

"Finally got to try this restaurant for a family dinner. It's a nice, neighborhood friendly restaurant with the perfect amount of indoor space. Tried the artichoke dip as an appetizer and ordered the chicken piccata for dinner. Each meal comes with fresh bread and dipping oils. Everything was delicious and the service was great. I'll definitely be returning soon!"
Celeste B.
"Good food, nice service, recommend going. Got the kids penne pasta and it was really good. I shared the chocolate mousse with my cousin and it was my first time tasting mousse. It was like chocolate ice cream with a different texture. The bread was also good. GO GO GO GO GO RUN!!!!!!"
Keira B.
"Amazing food, amazing restaurant. Love their focaccia bread and dipping sauce. Strait from heaven."
Ethel H.
"Got in just before closing time. They offer rosemary bread with oil and balsamic when you sit, which is a nice touch. Opted for something simple - spaghetti, salad, and minestrone soup. Everything was served piping hot and seasoned well. The service was attentive, and the cozy interior had a few booths and tables."
Katie C.
"Best polenta around! Everything I had there was good. We usually get takeout but the times we have eaten in were good ambiance too. Really good Italian!"
